It’s best to work with the system, and right now – the system is war. 2003, civil war is raging in Liberia. At a rebel army base four young women are doing their best to survive the conditions of the war. Yet sometimes, the greatest threat comes not from the enemy’s guns, but from the brutality of those on your own side. With the arrival of a new girl, who can read, and an old one, who can kill, how might this transform the future of this hard-bitten sisterhood?

It’s not an impossible mission. It’s an insane one. Ten people. Eriumans, Karassians, Free-Staters. None of them armed with anything more lethal than a single repaired and unreliable one-handed ghostmaker and a handful of bladed weapons, all of them with mental instabilities from years of brain wipes and memory manipulations. Worse, Bellona Cardenas is uncertain of their loyalties. Ten fragile people to infiltrate the most secure facility in the Republic. So begins Suns Eclipsed, the second book in the Indigo Reports space opera science fiction series by award-winning SF author Cameron Cooper. The Indigo Reports series: 0.5 Flying Blind 1.0 New Star Rising 1.1 But Now I See 2.0 Suns Eclipsed 3.0 Worlds Beyond Space Opera Science Fiction Novel __ Praise for Suns Eclipsed: God I love these characters, a motley crew of fantastic beings. I am loving this series! The characters are complex and interesting while the action has lots of unexpected twists and turns. Not since I first read Anne McCaffrey’s Ship Series have I enjoyed a SF series more. Cameron again proves Robert Heinlein’s words “Specialization is for insects”, as he delights us with his storytelling talent across multiple genres. The action never really stops as the reader is pulled through the book at breakneck speed! I am continually amazed at the imagination of this author. By the time I finished the book all I kept thinking was Nooooooooooooooooo! I have to wait till the next book comes out to be able to continue reading the story. A motley crew, an impossible mission and a wack-a-doodle, vengeful mother combine to give us another exciting story. A kick-ass adventure set in space, with a scope as beautiful as the stars in the galaxies. I thoroughly enjoyed it! This is meatier, brain engaging and seat-belt fastening. Fast-paced adventure full of futuristic elements, all too human emotions and developments you will never see coming. A wonderful follow up to the previous book in this series. The story just keeps getting better and better. __ Cameron Cooper is the author of the Imperial Hammer series, an Amazon best-selling space opera series, among others. Cameron tends to write space opera short stories and novels, but also roams across the science fiction landscape. Cameron was raised on a steady diet of Asimov, Heinlein, Herbert, McCaffrey, and others. Peter F. Hamilton and John Scalzi are contemporary heroes. An Australian Canadian, Cam lives near the Canadian Rockies.

In this ground-breaking investigation into the seldom-studied film culture of colonial Korea (1910-1945), Dong Hoon Kim brings new perspectives to the associations between colonialism, modernity, film historiography and national cinema. By reconstructing the lost intricacies of colonial film history, Eclipsed Cinema explores under-investigated aspects of colonial film culture, such as the representational politics of colonial cinema, the film unit of the colonial government, the social reception of Hollywood cinema, and Japanese settlers' film culture. Filling a significant void in Asian film history, Eclipsed Cinema greatly expands the critical and historical scopes of early cinema and Korean and Japanese film histories, as well as modern Asian culture, and colonial and postcolonial studies.

The short stories in Darker Moments are like a roller-coaster ride. The readers will experience the same levels of thrills and excitement as in a novel but with less reading time and space. Stories with intrigue, crime, and evil spirits populate this world of spine-tingling tales. A German biotechnologist working in Goa is forced to get entangled with the Russian Mafia for bio-warfare. A beautiful widow with bloodied hands plans to murder her third rich husband? Does crime pay? What happens to a successful model when an “accidental” wardrobe-malfunction occurs? Laughter may be injurious to health sometimes. When a star hero is found hanging, the system pronounces death by suicide. But a parallel justice system exists in the shadows which settle scores. The Naxal movement is described as ‘terrorist attacks’ by the authorities How do Naxals cope with the ever-growing government action against them? Every life matters. Is there another YOU in the universe? How will you react if an evil ‘You’ comes to your city and murders your enemies on your behalf? There are many instances of a passenger slitting the throat of the taxi driver. ‘Terror in Taxi’ poignantly narrates one such unfortunate incident. Prophecies never lie. In fiction, this is equivalent to destiny. This is what the four businessmen find out when they go to meet a priest in Kerala. Brutal killings in the picturesque Goa leaves the police perplexed. Inspector Bhonsle discovers a demon is involved in the crimes. Will he able to tame the ‘Devil’s Paw’?

In the heavens there exists the all-encompassing way of eternity. A theocracy that moves by the power and word of one, the Word of God. In this celestial realm, there is the light of one, the will of one and the ever presence of the messengers ... the so called “angels” that do His bidding in both the celestial and terrestrial worlds. In this timeless construct there is an umbilical cord from the heavens to the modest pavilion of Earth, where man and his God live. The God of self- exalted beyond His intended purpose, therefore orphaning himself to an alien agenda that of darkness. This is such a darkness that it hides the light; the light of His truth and the purpose by which He reigns supreme. Fashioned to the Creator’s handiwork, we are loved most dearly and our betterment is a pursuit of God’s good pleasure. Against all odds of an ever-increasing shroud of darkness necessitating more defined means of drawing our attention to Him, He summons the agents of justice; mercenaries of the spiritual world ... they are our own guardian angels.

Holding the truth burned my hand. The seesaw burned my soul. But the end result is my true self Is worthy, Purple, and Scarred. Inspired by her greatest muses—her love of children, gardens, and dogs—Lisha Simmonds shares lyrical insight into her existence as she embraces all she has been given while living fully and loved. In her debut collection of poems, Lisha reflects on lovers, adventures, and life in general through gentle verse intended to bring a smile or resonate as relatable. Within her diverse poems, Lisha explores the power of star movement across the sky at night, gratitude for a spectacular life, a physical tangle locked with God’s love, and an eerily desolate beach where the ocean dances without an audience. A Soul Not Eclipsed is a volume of moving free verse that reflects on one soul’s unique journey through life.
