GOD Works Through YOU THIS BOOK is for those who have never tried to prove God, those who think they have tried, those who have tried and failed, those who still have hope and for those who are daily proving Him. This book is for YOU. The purpose of this book is fivefold: 1. To bring you into a true relationship with the Laws of God. 2. To give you a tried and true remedy for human ills, problems and needs. 3. To make real the things which you know but have not experienced. 4. To give form and substance to your prayers, treatments and desires. 5. To lead you to discover the Real You. J. Lowrey Fendrich tells the story of a Chinese philosopher who once came to a missionary and offered to pay him to translate a portion of the New Testament for him each day. The missionary agreed, and for the first lesson opened the Bible and read aloud the words, After this manner therefore, pray ye: Our Father - To his surprise the aged Chinese stopped him and said, "That will be enough for today." A year later he returned and said he was ready for the second lesson. "I thought," said the missionary, "that you employed me to read to you every day." "I did," replied the old man, "but it took me a year to understand this much." The words in this book are only challenges. The real substance of the lessons is contained between the lines. This means that you should mark, learn and inwardly digest them as you read. As Isaiah said, you will have to wait upon the Lord. You will have to condition your mind through meditation and contemplation. The more you study the lessons, the more light and understanding you will receive. "Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart [Soul]." One of my earliest efforts to put the Truth into print was called This Works. It has long been out of print, but requests for copies still reach me. Those who so faithfully remember the pamphlet will recognize that the material it contained is embraced by this volume. I have written half the book, but you must write the other half - not on paper but in your daily life. It remains for you to embody the thought in your consciousness. May each hour spent in the study of these lessons bring you manifold blessings! - ROBERT A. RUSSELL Dr. Robert A. Russell was an exceptional author and had an uncanny ability to make the most difficult spiritual subjects easy to understand and apply. While known primarily for two works "GOD Works Through You" and "GOD Works Through Faith" he was in fact a prolific author with over 16 titles to his credit. We have spent the last several years tracking down his legacy of works and will be publishing them all in the coming years, each a spiritual classic in their own right. Don t Shut Yourself In The Cupboard The Word Of God Works

Do you want to succeed in life? Do you want health in your body? It is not what others think about you that makes you fail or succeed, but what you think of yourself. You are what you think. As a man thinks in his heart, so he is. I spent many years of my life focusing on obstacles instead of focusing on opportunities. I didn’t know that I was creating more problems for myself, because what you focus on expands. My life has changed after knowing who I am in Christ.

True Faith in the True God

True Faith in the True God meets the deep need for a clear and concise introduction to the life and teachings of the great church reformer, Martin Luther. After a brief overview of his life, the book devotes chapters to Luther’s thoughts on key topics, including the knowledge of God, church and sacraments, the Scriptures, marriage and parenthood, and vocation. The author incorporates extensive quotations from Luther’s own writings to show how Luther’s insights have relevance for all Christians today.

This book contains the theological essentials for Lutheran educators and is written in a way which is not only understandable but can be applied in the daily challenges of school teaching, learning and planning. I strongly encourage chaplains, teachers and principals to read and consider these theological essentials to enhance their understandings, discussions and daily work.

At this point, however, God intervenes. The union so impossible for us ever to
achieve takes place through hisintervention. If the word “faith” isto keep its
meaning, it must be a certainty about what God —not people but really God
isand does.

It is hard to exaggerate the significance of Innerland, either for the author or his readers. The author's most seminal book, it absorbed his energies off and on for his entire adulthood -- from World War I, when he published the first chapter under the title War: A Call to Inwardness, to 1935, the last year of his life. Packed in metal boxes and buried at night for safekeeping from the Nazis, who raided the author's study a year before his death (and again a year after it), Innerland was not openly critical of Hitler's regime; nevertheless it attacked the spirits that animated German society: its murderous strains of racism and bigotry, its heady nationalistic fervor, its mindless mass hysteria and its vulgar materialism. In this sense Innerland stands as starkly opposed to the zeitgeist of our own day as to that of the author's.

In 1990, New City Press, in conjunction with the Augustinian Heritage Institute, began the project knows as: The Works of Saint Augustine, A Translation for the 21st Century. The plan is to translate and publish all 132 works of Saint Augustine, his entire corpus into modern English. This represents the first time in which The Works of Saint Augustine will all be translated into English. Many existing translations were often archaic or faulty, and the scholarship was outdated. New City Press is proud to offer the best modern translations available. The Works of Saint Augustine, A Translation for the 21st Century will be translated into 49 published books. To date, 41 books have been published by NCP containing 93 of The Works of Saint Augustine, A Translation for the 21st Century. Augustine's writings are useful to anyone interested in patristics, church history, theology and Western civilization. -- Publisher.
