This is an inspiring testimony about how Nanette came to know the Lord, Jesus Christ for herself. She tells of how her renewed faith in Jesus Christ catapulted her into Godly living. Be in awe as she tells of her supernatural encounter with the Holy Spirit who literally saved her from certain death. Nanette tells of her journey in overcoming lifes challenges, and the seeds of self-doubt sown into her by her family. She candidly tells of how God delivered her from a path of self-destruction and put her feet on solid ground. You will learn of the negative effects of low self-esteem, and how easy it is, even for a saved person to become derailed and fall into the ways of worldly living (one of Satans traps), when you dont have a personal relationship with God. Nanette gives testimony to Gods unmerited grace and mercy, as she tells of His love and forgiveness.

The aim of this book is to point the reader to the underlying Story of the Bible. That Story is the thread connecting Genesis to Revelation and every book in between. It provides the context for the individual doctrines by which we do business. It will help the reader to understand their origin, purpose, and destination because the Story the Bible tells is also our story. It will tell us how the world got into the mess it is in, and how to get out of it. These are the sorts of things that form worldviews.

It addresses difficult and sometimes technical matters in a style that is both clear and scholarly, and it provides valuable insights into issues that are being thrust to the fore by scientific progress. Based on linguistic and thematic links in the narrative, The Turning Point in the Gospel of Mark argues that the twin pericopae of Peter's confession (8:27-38) and the Transfiguration (9:2-13) together function as the turning point of the Gospel and serve in a Janus-like manner enabling the reader to see the author's main focus: the identity of Jesus and the significance of that reality for his disciples. Peter's confession of Jesus as Messiah faces backward toward the Prologue (1:1-13) and functions as a mid-course conclusion. The declaration by God on the mountain faces forward and foreshadows the end-course conclusion (14:61-62; 15:39; Son of God). Jesus, in response, teaches that the Son of Man must suffer and die before being raised from the dead (8:31). Christologically, the images of Messiah, Son of Man, and Son of God converge and present Jesus, the crucified, as king, ushering in the kingdom of God in power (9:1 acting as the key swivel between the twin pericopae). When one is confronted with this Jesus, though there remains something elusive about him and the kingdom of God in the narrative, the only wise decision (after calculating the costs, 8:34-38) is to follow.

What is the turning point that causes a curious journalist and atheist to walk into a church and be converted to Christ the first time she takes communion? At what point is a lifelong atheist and head of one of the greatest scientific breakthroughs of the twentieth century persuaded to turn to Christ? What leads a woman, who had a Mafia contract on her life and who appeared on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list, to become a Christian in prison and then start a national outreach ministry that has touched the lives of thousands of children? What is that moment at which God’s disruptive Spirit invades the lives of even the unlikeliest of individuals, drawing them into relationship with Christ? Joseph Bentz calls this the tipping point. In God in Pursuit, Bentz identifies and celebrates the sparks that allow faith to catch fire in the lives of new believers who were once hostile or indifferent to God. Filled with insight, encouragement, and solid biblical wisdom, this earnest examination shows readers how those tipping points from doubt to faith operate throughout the Christian life as they confront spiritual crises and grapple with questions that will bring them deeper into relationship with God.
